Development of Language for Learning A strategic approach to address the impact of poverty and low educational attainment on the prospects for children and young people in two geographical areas facing high levels of deprivation

Improving intervention and support strategies for pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds whose learning progress is impaired by social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.

This project involves schools in targeted wards with high levels of deprivation, led by Dylan Thomas secondary school.

Project summary:

Development of Language for Learning across the Cluster. Primary focus to raise standards of literacy for children to move effectively across the curriculum, raising levels of self esteem and attainment.
