Eight schools worked collaboratively to improve standards and pupil wellbeing through Nurture Groups and Family Learning. Schools involved in the project had above 35% FSM, in areas of deprivation and socially challenged communities. The project involved both Infant and Primary Schools. The size of schools varied dramatically and one school was a multi-cultural school. The resource available will support schools planning to organise a Nurture Group, or adopt a Nurturing Ethos throughout a whole school and supporting this intervention through Family Learning. The booklet will guide schools through measuring and evaluating both interventions and suggest appropriate activities to support the learning. The principles are supported by research findings.
