St David's
This resource describes and evaluates an initiative designed to enable all pupils to enjoy lunch and playtimes without encountering difficulties in managing their behaviour.It involves working on emotional intelligence through the use of a Proactive Play Coordinator who as well as setting projects for targeted pupils enhances their emotional wellbeing through plenary and circle time interventions. It is a good example of 9 schools working collaboratively to share good practice while working with outside agencies.
8 schools are primary schools and 1 is a special school. all schools are from across various locations in Cardiff which have experience of pupils with challenging behaviour.
